In Your Head: Mental Strategies for Auditioning offers practical tools to steady your mind so your technique and storytelling can come through clearly.

Guided by Opera Reading Project’s commitment to holistic vocal arts education and human connection, this session led by Certified Professional Coach (CPC) Celeste Marie Johnson focuses on concrete strategies for auditioning successfully. Participants are encouraged to think about audition scenarios that have proved particularly challenging and/or strategies that have served them well in the past to share with the group. Come ready to reflect on your own habits and leave with approaches you can use at your very next audition.

Get Your Materials In Order: Resume & Bio Writing Workshop provides you with the opportunity to strengthen your critical application materials and grab evaluators' attention.

Led by Twin Cities-based arts leader, consultant, and professional opera singer, Siena Forest, this workshop will give participants an overview of best practices regarding resumes, bios, and headshots, followed by personalized active work on your materials and time for peer review and feedback.

Participants should plan to bring two printed copies of their resume, as well as a laptop or other device from which they can do active work on their materials.

AUDITION! — Thursday, November 12, 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Aria Vita: Audition Training Ground gives you the opportunity to get audition feedback from leading industry professionals!

This unique session will be co-led by MN Opera's Mario Antonio Marra, Head of Music and Director of the Resident Artist Program, and Joseph Li, Vice-President, Artistic. Our presenters will share their perspectives on audition video screenings and what they look for in live auditions, followed by an hour of "practice" auditions where participants can share an aria for written feedback.
